We expect that the students can maintain the facilities in this flat well
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Public Works and Public Housing Ministry constructs a flat at the Sayyid Hamim Islamic Boarding School in East Ogan Komering Ulu District, South Sumatra, with a budget of Rp3.04 billion (US$201 thousand).
“The construction of a flat for the students’ dormitory is expected to improve the quality of education in the boarding school because the students, who pursue knowledge in the boarding school, can live in a habitable dorm,” Director General of Housing at the Ministry Iwan Suprijanto said in a statement here on Friday.
Suprijanto said that his administration also equipped the flat with supporting facilities, such as beds, tables, and wardrobes, so that all the students had to do is to bring their belongings in and study well.
On January 13, 2023, the directorate general of housing, through its South Sumatra Work Unit V of Housing and the Sayyid Hamim Islamic Boarding School administration, had inked the official report of the flats’ grant handover in East Ogan Komering Ulu District.
Head of the South Sumatra Housing Work Unit, Yustin Patria Primordia — who represented the directorate general of housing at the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry — handed the document to the head of the boarding school foundation, M. Daud.
The flat for the boarding school is constructed in Lintas Jaya Village, West Semendawai Sub-district, East Ogan Komering Ulu District. The vertical tower has two stories and has four rooms styled as barracks.
“The total budget disbursed for construction of this flat is Rp3.04 billion. We expect that the students can maintain the facilities in this flat well,” Suprijanto concluded.
