The involvement of students is aimed at introducing them to international activities through an exhibition, he remarked.
“We will be ready to succeed the 2023 WSBK in Lombok. We have interest in succeeding this international event,” he noted in a written statement received in Mataram, Saturday.
The governor also lauded all parties for having helped to ensure the success of the 2022 WSBK, including officers from the National Police (Polri) and the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI), who have assisted the NTB Regional Police in securing the 2022 WSBK event.
“We praise all parties that have organized this event well,” he noted.
Zulkieflimansyah is upbeat that the 2023 WSBK event will be more successful to bring positive impacts on the regional economy and increase tourist visits to NTB.
“We are ready to succeed the 2023 WSBK in Lombok,” he stated.
The governor remarked that the success in securing the event is proven by the accomplishment of organizing the event itself.
In holding the upcoming event, he also emphasized that what is still lacking in the implementation of the 2022 WSBK should be used as evaluation material for all parties, such as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that need more optimal involvement.
“What is lacking in the 2022 WSBK will become our capital to be better for the WSBK this year,” he remarked.
The WSBK 2022 succeeded in breaking a world record, with more than 50 thousand spectators, due to the collaboration of the regional leader coordination forum (Forkopimda) and regional organization (OPD) in NTB Province and the central government.
In addition, the provincial government is preparing for the expansion of connecting flights to bring in more spectators from outside the region and abroad.
For the 2023 WSBK, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry has targeted the number of spectators to reach 75 thousand in a bid to introduce NTB tourism to the world.
