TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Intan, the personal assistant of renowned lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, filed a police report of an alleged assault by a man with the initials MW. According to the report, the incident took place at an entertainment venue in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, on Sunday night, January 22, 2023.
Adj. Comr. Nurma Dewi, head of PR at the South Jakarta Resort Police, confirmed that the report has been filed. “I have checked with the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT), there report is in,” she said on Friday, January 27, 2023, as reported by Antara.
Nurma said that investigators from the South Jakarta Police were still checking the chronology of the incident and when the alleged assault took place.
Meanwhile, the man accused of assaulting Intan, MW, denied the allegation. He said that he knows Intan and confirmed there was an incident on Sunday night in Gatot Subroto, but claimed that he was actually the victim.
MW also claimed that there were many witnesses who saw what actually happened. “The fact was that she came to where I was sitting and spat on me, saying she had a problem with me,” MW said.
MW regretted the slander and accusations that mentioned “sexual disorder”, even though there was no definite proof. “If you can’t prove it, it means there’s a new legal incident there,” he said.
